| Hikaru no Go (TV) | Masterpiece | An anime about Go may seem strange and boring, but this is easily one of my favorite animes of all time. There are loads of fantastic characters, and seeing each of them grow is truly rewarding. The go itself is actually kind of exciting, and very nerve-racking to watch. The show never takes itself too seriously though, and there's lots of funny bits, especially via Sai. Everyone should watch it. |
| Hikaru No Go: New Year Special | Excellent | If this had been a part of the HnG TV Show, it would have essentially been 4 very very stellar episodes. Some of my favorites ever. But, the way it ends on a cliffhanger is really dissapointing. I hoped these episodes would fill in some gaps the show left when it suddenly ended, but they didn't. I enjoyed it immensely, but I'm left wanting more. |
| Rurouni Kenshin (TV 1996) | Excellent | Quite a few interesting characters and some terrific fight scenes make this a great anime. When this show is on, it's almost as good as it gets, but there's also a lot of boring filler spread out through the series that takes away from the greatness. Overall though, it's a very good watch! |
