Kaze UK:
- Kaze UK will start releasing these films from December 31st.
- First movie will be released on DVD and Blu-Ray, working towards a Collectors Edition as well.
- The first film will also get theatrical screenings in October (read: At Scotland Loves Anime!).
- Viz Media are probably trying to assemble a dub cast around the original TV anime dub, no official word on this yet however.
- These movies are effectively a reboot of the franchise which follows the manga, so should appeal to new viewers.
- The US cast from the TV series seem keen to reprise their roles for the dub of these movies.

For clarification, he's talking about the Berserk movies.

So. The UK gets Black Lagoon on BD and Strike Witches 2 before us. That's just dandy. This seems like a good time to get a region free BD player.

And I'll add this here...

Gundam licenses will be staying with Bandai, but all other Beez licenses have been released back to their original licensors.

Currently in progress is the task of relicensing as many series as possible for the UK with other distributors.

Thus, a lot of shows (such as Code Geass for example) will re-emerge once the new licenses are finalised, some of them later this year!

I'm putting $10 down on Sentai as being the US licensor.

Are those...blu-ray sized steelbooks? I swear it looks like the creases come down really far on the spines. Honestly though, the way the name reads from the bottom up is really off putting since 99.99% of US releases read top to down (I've seen a few ADV releases read the other way). That's a hell of a clash.

Highly unlikely. Slipcovers should be the route here.

To me this would be the logical choice. With the turnaround time, FUNimation isn't not as likely. This is also the fact that MVM will be releasing their first BD release for Broken Blade.

Ok...
I had to check but yeah, that was the girl as a guy butler haremfest. Obviously there's this whole complex system as to which shows get dubbed {No, I'm not bitter about Bakemonogatari. It's more "livid"} I liked it more than IS as it had a decent character arc for both the guy and the girl so there was that.

No rush for an American release...

I will just tack this one here...it's very interesting to see Manga UK releasing a single set for DVD and a single set for Blu-ray.

As such things should be. A combined release would exceed the requirements of many potential buyers.

Oh man, I hope we get that OVA here in R1. It's one of the most demented things I've ever seen.
