Togashi is at least triple dipping on this game so it could actually happen. Wink

You mean over 1 million in Japan since January, thanks to Famitsu digital tracking on December sales and January's retail sales to reach the milestone.

Gee that reminds me of something he said exactly 10 years ago.

"Hirokazu Hamamura, President of Enterbrain, has said in a report to Mainichi (newspaper), Dragon Quest IX could sell 5 million in Japan."

In the end DQIX only managed to sell 4.2 million copies in Japan.

I doubt it, it will most likely 5+ million in the West if they localize it and they include the 3DS version to be localized and not just the PS4 version.

I could see Dragon Quest XI reaching 5 million a bit quick if it were given a Western debut...
