I feel bad that it looks like it's gonna fail. This is LITERALLY the first time I've heard of this kickstarter project. Yet another victim of extremely poor advertisement.

It hasn't gotten out to enough people for sure. It's a shame. I've done my part, and I know many others have as well. Oh well.
In any case, I'm really excited for his original project. I've become a massive fan of Irie in the last few years, especially after Ping Pong Girls. That show was just brimming with all sorts of visual panache. They did an incredibly good job with few resources on that project.

Well, I wouldn't mind if this 2020 project gets simulcast. Since it is coming in that year, I wouldn't be surprised if we got more details until early 2019.

Yeah, I already backed but it's a shame the bit of bigger advertising for this kickstarter is just coming now so late into the campaign as this really looks pretty fun. If there's a bit of boost thanks to this advertising it'd be nice if he gave it a second shot.

Glad to hear he's also got a new TV series in the works. Very interesting to hear that it is also an "original" and not an adaptation as I'm always looking forward to new original anime.

I think I threw this on my "bug me when there's two days left" Kickstarter list when ANN first posted about it, but I'm bummed to see it's so far away from being funded. It seems like a frustrating number of projects fall flat on their faces when it comes to getting any sort of publicity out there. "From the director of FMA: Brotherhood!" should be an easy selling point.

FYI: The first 35 pages of the Halloween Pajama manga, in English and Japanese, are available from the main page of the anime Kickstarter. This is the first chapter of the manga, in two PDF files, one PDF in English and one PDF in Japanese.

KIckstarter, Yasuhiro Irie's Animation film "Halloween Pajama in Seattle":

Halloween Pajama manga, "Episode I", English PDF and Japanese PDF:

Apparently, the English version came from the translation Kickstarter linked to below.

Halloween Pajama | Manga Translation Project:

For what it's worth, I liked the English manga sample.

wow sucks that i've never heard of this till just now because it certainly looks interesting.
I really don't think its gonna get funded but who knows maybe some wealthy backers will pop up at the last moment.

It probably needs to relaunch with the physical copy tier not being so expensive and perhaps even making it a Blu-Ray.

It seems like putting the Kickstarter before publishing on Amazon was a case of not-entirely-thought-through strategy. Had that wider distribution channel been available to the IP, the marketing problems the Kickstarter has suffered from might not have been so deep.

Too bad. Just a few days ago, I was asking myself if Seattle had ever featured in anime. I hadn't heard of this campaign before then either!

The closest thing I found is that the Netflix-made live-action "Death Note" movie was set in Seattle.
