I don’t really have any thoughts on the film itself one way or the other, but I’m so happy to see Umehara’s name as part of the cast. I hope this means that his recovery is going well and that we’ll see him returning with more roles soon.

I was just about to make a comment on his health.

It's so nice to see everybody's favorite cult-produced anime film series still going strong. It's as if Scientology produced a series of movies to promote Scientology and they actually played in movie theaters alongside other movies. I guess Battlefield Earth was the closest thing to that, and it was a horrendous flop. They actually planned to have Japanese animated Battlefield Earth series back in the early 2000's. Thankfully that seems to have gone nowhere.

Still no Takehito Koyasu, and he was such a staple of Happy Science anime movies. Which I generally hope was just him always getting paid to do it as a voice job and not him being part of their fruity cult.
