Funimation could use a copy editor on their summaries. Jesus.

I said before on their FB post that the leads were an interesting casting choice, but I'll check the show out nonetheless. Have been really enjoying it so far.

Glad to see Gabe Kunda in more major roles. I originally had him picked as the narrator for Kaguya-sama's dub since he has a pretty extensive background doing movie/series trailers, ads for companies like Disney Plus, etc... (but I was off the mark there haha). I wouldn't have guessed Trina for Natsume, but I can see it.

Looking forward to checking out the dub!

Nice cast, and as always, another big gold medal for FUNimation for casting black actors for non-black characters in major supporting roles or in this case, protagonist role. Very Happy

Nathanael Harrison and CAS are handling the mix.

I believe CAS stands for Cinema Audio Society. It's really just Nathanael handling the mix.

Been looking forward to this one and seeing Trina in a lead role is just perfect since I've been wanting to hear her again in a bigger role for quite some time now. Also, glad to see Gabe cast as well.

Deca-Dence has been living up to the hype so far and been one of the best shows of the season. I'm really looking forward to the dub.

Not really, Geneon did this many years ago with The Legend of Black Heaven and Bandai with Cowboy Bebop. Funimartion have only recently started getting black vas for characters in general, didn't even get a black va for Michiko in Michiko & Hatchin when that was dubbed less than a decade ago.

I was always curious about this series and I'm glad to know it's doing well and will receive a dub soon.

Will simuldubs reverting back to the "4+ weeks after the sub" release schedule be the new norm? I don't have a problem waiting, especially if each episode releases consistently.

Well Michiko is SPANISH not black so Monica fit, what with her being spanish and all. And "recently getting Black VAs in general" is also a lie since they've more or less always used black VAs in various roles throughout the years.

Let's stay on topic please and not turn this into a debate on who or should not be cast due to ethnicity. I removed some posts as things were getting even more off topic.

Just as a point of information Michiko is not Spanish. She was born in Brazil. Given her actual parents heritage I believe the closest recognized term for her heritage would be Afro-Brazilian.

The first episode dub is out now. It's pretty good! On par with the original, IMO.
