Oh, this is interesting. I wonder how things will work on the VN story-side, especially with the original characters like Sion from the previous game.
I also wonder whether they'll make changes to Satsuki's powers, considering her route apparently gets made in Tsukihime Remake.

Considering the recent Type-Moon Ace interview revealed that the Tsukihime Remake is being cut down to just the Arcueid and CIel routes for the time being I wouldn't expect much on that front. Since it's been 13 years since the remake was announced and now finally at the release we're not even the full thing thing remade, I basically expect the Far Side routes to never come out.

I doubt that - since the word is it's because Ciel and Arc's routes have doubled in size, I suspect it just means it'll be cut into multiple games. I guess they could make us wait another 10 years for that, but I would suspect Tsukihime installments and possibly Melty Blood updates playing off each other in the immediate future is more the idea.

Seriously? I guess this goes with the multiple installments theory. If they're later gonna treat this like FSN, it makes a lot of sense.
I REALLY wonder what the new Melty Blood will be like though. I imagine we might even get brand new characters.

Yes, it will. It was confirmed in the interview in TMoon Ace.

That's the idea I'm sure but I have absolutely no faith in them executing it in a timely manner.

I don't know much about Melty Blood myself, but someone posted the magazine interview in Japanese and asked me to translate. I confirmed it indeed says Sion will not be in the game, I guess because it takes place before Tsukihime? Apparently Sion is a main character in MB, so that's weird, but I'm guessing there's a good reason.

That's actually kinda sad. MB was a spinoff based somewhat on the events of the VN, but later incorporated other elements and enemies not found in the original VN, but did appear later in the Fan Disc. There were also some MB exclusive characters.. which means Actress Again will still be getting some love from me.

The original doujin Tsukihime also came in two releases: Near Side and Far Side.
