Sounds like they're really trying to make some kind of Cowboy Bebop "Cinematic Universe"

Yeahhhh, shouldn't they maybe wait to see how the show does first? Especially if the season ends up binge-dumped. This feels like a mix of "someone was too excited to draw Cho as spike" and the general "gotta squeeze every cent out of a beloved property".

This is them just putting all there eggs in one basket again and when it all comes down from one thing or another{i hope it is good but not holding my breath}) then it will be because of the fans how loved the original (seeing the original only aired 6 or so episodes in Japan when it first aired) and not bad choices for scripting and hiring people that tell off the fans there selling it to (that has already happened) and having no real love for what there trying to remaking it makes a bad anything

A example of this is resident evil movies that started in early 2000’s the first 2 showed a real good love for the games to the best they could and the next 4 where good but took a turn in there own way and tried to hold onto somethings from the game but where ok if not a little dragging

Then look at the 2015 (can’t remember the date) mega man series there where things from the game but there was no real love in it just trying to use common TV troops and mixing megaman with what ever they think will work and make it easy to make

And a good mid line is the 90’s super Mario brothers film there was no way it would work and even a kid could tell you that then and now but it was a good film but a bad super Mario bros film like it was just shoe horned in and reworked parts of the script to get it in but it worked (for what is was)

I will hold out that it could be good and the comic writers do it justice but only time will tell

Not really, it's just that all prestige shows get spin-off material these days. Cobra Kai got a comic that retells the first movie from Johnny's perspective, to use an example.

Sir, I have to interrupt you right here, because the Mega Man comic series that ran from 2011 to 2015 was fantastic. The guys who wrote and drew it love the series and put some of their best work into it. That and Mega Man 11 are basically the only new Mega Man-related things that have come out in the last ten years that are worthwhile.

Yeah, no thanks. I'd prefer a decent Cowboy Bebop manga.

Looks like they're going the Robotech route of taking an existing property and doing their own thing with it. To be fair, others are doing this with other properties: Marvel with Ultraman and the French artist working on Captain Harlock. Both titles have remained faithful of the original series and are very good. Admittedly, this Bebop is not for me but I'm sure it'll have its fans.

Ennhh, the RE movies in general are more like amc's The Walking Dead: Take all the names and/or cool events from the source material and reproduce them in a sloppy, lackluster fashion.

Well, you are never going to get that, so this is the best you will get. I am actually really exicted for more supplemental Bebop stuff period.

I wouldn't use "real good love", "the best they could", "good", or "ok" to describe the Resident Evil movies lol

How do you guys just judge something before even a trailer comes out?

Well if this is "the best" then probably nothing at all would be better... Very Happy
It's a shame the Cowboy Bebop manga was so bland...

Again, how can you judge something if there is not trailer? Wait for a trailer to job, then make a judgement. The writer they have for the comic is a really good indie writer, so I can imagine it will be better than the boring manga versions.
