Fuuka isn't in the new key visual. I was hoping there would be more focus on her in the second cour. Based on the visual and PV, I'm guessing her role will be minor in the 2nd cour

Fuuka not being a major character in the 2nd half is quite disappointing as I found her to be the stronger of the two leads, but narratively it makes more sense for her to go back home. Seeing Nao Toyama on the list is exciting, and her character looks fun as well.

Kukuru moving to Tingaara was set up in multiple ways and should be interesting, but I'll admit I'm less excited about the 2nd half than I was the first.

I love this anime. It's soothing and it hits the emotional beats so well. I'm excited to see more. And it looks like Karin will be working at the aquarium, cool!

I hope Fuuka/Kukuru is confirmed.

Haven't watched this week's episode yet, but I feel like it will take a lot to justify removing Fuuka from the narrative at this stage. Especially since the first half was so dominated by Kukuru slowly having to let go of Gama Gama, it felt like there was comparatively little done with Fuuka - which would be fine if the focus then shifted more to her in the second half, but not if she is just ushered out by a plot device.

While i really like their duo, considering the pv and today's episode it does indeed make more sense for Fuuka to go back until the end when they are both accomplish. ( they wouldn't have chosen such a tagline if Fuuka was only intended to be a minor character from the start )

I hope it will become a 2 POV story starting now ( even if mostly about Kukuru's side ), i'm certainly not ready to bid farewell to Fuuka yet.

No kidding! Who's going to be able to play off Kukuru in the second half? One of their new colleagues? Yeah, it narratively makes sense for her and Fuuka to separate, but I hope Fuuka doesn't get her screentime reduced significantly.

Have yet to watch the most recent but without Fuuka I see very little reason to continue this one. Was already on the fence with how little I have been enjoying it lately but this would be the last straw. Honestly I dont know why I keep giving new PA Works projects a try.

Kind of surprising for the show to write out it's co-lead when it's all about "two girls," but they've got another 12 episodes.

People sure are quick to jump ship based on a PV for the second half without knowing context.
Her last name is on the rotation schedule, so she'll be back eventually. (or maybe even soon)

I'm personally satisfied that they didn't decide to go with some miracle save for Gama Gama. I look forward to see how Kukuru grows in the next 12 episodes.

Its always good to remember that anime PVs only tend to show stuff from at most 1-3 episodes since anime production pipelines typically only have a few episodes near ready to air by the time later PVs are releasing. So its entirely possible Fuuka is still gonna be very present in the story just maybe not for the first few episodes of the new cour.

I would be very surprised if Fuuka wasn’t in Part 2.

People thinking they're writing off Fuuka are funny its obvious her story isn't finished yet but at the same time thinking it would switch to focus on her mainly is just as funny. Narratively it would have felt too awkward to go from an aquarium/rural setting to an idol/city. Also remember she's going just to be in a movie it doesn't mean she's magically going to pick up being an idol again right away. Not like she's going to be in the movie then like 2 days later that movie will come out and she sky rockets to stardom. Post production will happen and then when everything starts to resolve the movie will come out and THEN she'll get notoriety and at the end will go back to Tokyo. She'll be gone for an ep or 2 at most to at least establish she was away to be in the film. That or we're going to get like a half year jump since Kukuru is working fulltime and Fuuka will come waltz right back in mid or end of the ep having just finished filming the movie. As Millhi pointed out she's clearly still there so I don't see why you guys are thinking about dropping it cause "they wrote her off"

You should do your homework before ranting up a storm here. In the latest episode spoiler[Fuuka states that she will not be doing the movie because being an idol is no longer her dream.] So your entire premise here is completely invalidated regardless of how major a role Fuuka is going to be in the second cour, which none of us know for sure unless you're in the anime production team.

Fuuka is now gone back to Tokyo but I hope that this next season Kukuru will keep in touch with Fuuka while the latter is reviving her idol dream. It's gonna be harder for me to watch this season if Kai becomes Fuuka's "replacement" as co-main character with Kukuru.
