I know Demon Slayer has become a cultural phenomenon in Japan but I never thought that it would amass a rating close to Sazae-san, especially since it airs late at night. Yashahime's ratings are great as well, it makes me wonder how high were the ratings for Inuyasha

I love Demon Slayer. It was a well-produced melodramatic, thrilling adventure. It's cool that anime is still so popular in the covid-19 era. It even has the most successful movie of the year. Now i am ready to get the dvd version of the movie.

I also wanted to ask of why couldn't American tv producers/directors do anime shows in Japan. Only two anime movies were actually produced or directed by Americans.

1. There are enough anime directors in Japan
2. American directors do not have the necessary knowledge to direct anime because it is very different from Western animation
3- And the main reason is the difference between culture and language. For example, 99% of anime has content that is not pleasing to American (Western) producers/directors
Even this demon slayer in this arc has content that is controversial in the West

Man 9.2 sure is impressive. I wonder if Jujutsu Kaisen's upcoming season might be like this too.

What's an example of content from the arc that would be controversial in the West?

I guess they mean the prostitution and polygamy. I don’t know anyone who would actually be offended by that though. If someone doesn’t like something, just stop watching it and move on.

I do not want to spoil, but if you look at the new opening, you can see there are several little girls in the brothel who are 10 to 18 years old.
In the first episode, Tengen wanted to sell the two little girls (Naho and Aoi) to a brothel.

The anime has not yet reached those parts
Have you forgotten how much criticism the mushoku tensei brought with it even though the quality of the animation and story is masterpiece?
