Overall I must say I am liking this latest installment of Melty Blood. The game play mechanics have not radically changed at least not since Actress Again, and the upgraded sprites look rather nice. I do miss certain soundtrack songs that seemed to follow each reiteration of this series.

With that said I cannot say the same for the Tsukihime "Reboot". Its very much starting to feel like all the other Netflix dumpster fire remakes. I'm still onboard for the 2nd part IF it ever gets released. From what little I have read though sales are not where they wanted it to be.

As for Spoilers.. nothing to spoil in this post, the game has been out long enough to know who Noel is, and google can tell you the rest if your interested.

Wow I'm surprised to find someone that didn't like the Remake. All I have seen is praise for it so far and excitement for the 2nd part. What didn't you like about it? Please no spoilers though since I haven't got around to playing it yet. And I think you must have heard wrong about the sales because Nasu said that sales exceeded expectations.

Wow, your opinions are the exact opposite of public opinion. Especially the second one, considering how TsukiRe was first on the Switch store for weeks and sold hundreds of thousands of units.

Much appreciated on the compliment. Public Opinion is not all its cracked up to be.

My sales figures research consisted mostly of a quick overview of some fan forums, maybe things have flipped. Good news for the game if so.

My issues with the reboot revolve mostly along the lines of the Fate-izing of the original story. Fate/Stay and Tsukihime are 2 different things, some characters do carry over but the overall plot is NOT related. Adding of additional characters that add little to no value to the core plot (I should add the caveat of as of this date since the 2nd part has not hit). Revamping of the original 27 dead apostles and taking focus away from other elements that were core to the original VN.

I'll hold more of my judgement until the 2nd half hits, I was always more of a fan of the far side of the moon routes anyway.

Back to Melty Blood though, I want to see other characters from previous versions show up. If they all come down via DLC my opinion of this game will probably sour.
