If you ask me, Liden was already struggling with Seven Knights and Tokyo Revengers (both of which also featuring the same exact flaws as Cramer, the latter even more so I'd argue by the end), so why they needed to do this show as well I will never know.

I didn't watch seven knights but Tokyo revengers was definitely rough at times.

Anyway, I tried to enjoy this but I'm someone who already isn't a fan of sports, so bad looking sports was a definite no.

You can also take it a step further in a meta sense nowadays where female-led sports anime are screwed over (whether it's animation and/or story) while the dude-focused ones get the better, maybe Production I.G.-level treatment. I really hope that Bandai Namco Pictures upcoming Birdie Wing doesn't fall into the same trap.

Really disappointed that the animation turned out so mediocre, I was looking forward to the anime but never had the time to watch it. Guess I'll just read the manga.

Small typo: You say this was a Spring 2020 show when I think you meant Spring 2021

I tried to like this, but it was so poorly done that I couldn't get more than 3-4 episodes in before I dropped it.

I definitely think Covid ruined this anime.

The movie was supposed to premiere first, and it's clear that's where the budget went too. I think that they were hoping to put the movies success to fund the TV series.

Since they didn't postpone the show, they didn't have the movies sales funds to help take care of the tv series.

This show could've been Anime of the Year last year. Instead I'll have to read the manga.
