To be precise the season is called “New Chapter - Labyrinth arc”. This could mean it will be two cours or split cour with the first cour being the Labyrinth arc.

This season is covering an arc where Hestia is barely involved.
I am hoping Omori can somehow rein in the director's absolute love for Hestia. I have no doubt that the director would gladly insert more scenes with Hestia |

Not sure why there would be a second cour. Nothing in the content for vols. 12-14 warrants taking such a dramatically slower pace for this arc than for the previous ones, and the end of vol. 14 is the end of that arc. |

Season 4 hype!
Volumes 12-14 are one hell of a ride through dungeon. Without spoiling, this will be an adventure into territory they've never been to and a lesson in how things can go from bad to worse in the dungeon. Also, I have full confidence in the adaptation, unlike a lot of other light novel readers that seemingly can't be pleased by anything. |

This arc will be the closes Danmachi gets to horror and I cant wait to see it. Now if only Omori would announce the release date for vol 18...

It's not the director's choice really for hestia being in the kv and probably just because bestia is the female lead character and nothing else. |

This series should be an absolute belter. Season 3 is arguably where the series really takes off and it will only get better from here. Lore lovers will find this an absolute treasure trove.

Im glad for this announcement, and think especially season 2 3 and the movie have been trending upwards, anytime saucy Freya is on the stage its a win; but man where's my High School DxD season 5?
Also Id like to see the return and foreign canonization of Artemis, I found her a much better match with Belle than either Hestia or Wallenstein. She reminds me more of Ryu, which is a good ting. |
