I'm really curious if everything will be resolved satisfactorily.

Judging by how the manga has touched certain characters, we might need to read both Guren's and Mika's spinoffs to understand it well.

Kind of saw this coming as the sales of the volumes have fallen off a cliff Sad

But hey, it was an okay run and it did make some money anyway.

Not trying to be negative towards this series...but has anyone else noticed that the dialogue in this series is...kind of terrible? I don't think this is a translation issue as the anime had the exact same problem. Yuu has spouted the exact same dialogue from the beginning and it all boils down to, "Friends are my family!" And Mika+others just smiles, shake their heads, and go, "Oh Yuu...isn't he amazing?" And I am sitting there going...No? He is a moron?

I have said it from the beginning. The only good character is Shinoa. She has spunk, sass, and a sharp tongue. She (and a bit of Guren) stand out because they have more than just the same 5 lines of dialogue repeated in different combinations for chapters in end.

Idk...is this just me? Anyone else seeing this or am I insane?

Well in the first cour Yu was a clone of Eren but then turned into a more cliché hero like Black Cat

At some point, this series definitely lost momentum. The story became meandering. New characters kept popping up, while flashbacks made things murkier instead of shedding light.

Recent chapters have been enjoyable though. You basically only need to know that spoiler[Guren triggered the apocalypse by resurrecting his dead friends and whatever is inside Shinoa is trying to lead the Demons to destroy the world.]

No, it's not just you. His dialogues had always been like that. But it's gotten worse since this series kept getting stretched.

This train wreck will finally reach its destination!
OR
This story went off the rails.
OR
I'll have re-read everything from the beginning 'cause the story has made little sense for years now. It doesn't help that it's a once-a-month release.

I haven’t been able to make heads or tails of the plot of this manga for a long time. I wasn’t sure if it was because the spin-offs were necessary to understand it or because it wasn’t written very well, but I’m reassured that I’m not the only one who can’t figure it out.

I haven’t read this series in well over a year.

By that point I honestly couldn’t stand it anymore. Yu and his friends prolly stand as among the worst stereotype of the friendship motivation where 90% of their dialogue is the same constant family lines.

Combined with the generally lackluster choreography and fight scenes (this was definitely among the more underwhelming vampires I’ve seen in manga) it just made for a profoundly dull read.

I kinda keep up with the manga but yea that thing needed to end years ago since its plot has become such a mess that I barely know what's going on anymore.

Bummer! I love this series, but would rather it end than drag out the ending unnecessarily. The series has some weaknesses, but overall, it's made for an entertaining read and I will definitely be rereading it. The light novels are fantastic and I would love to see them animated, either as a movie or a prequel anime.
