I don't see what the point of these articles are? there's 200k+ new cases a day in Japan? Currently 12 million active cases. It would be a lot easier for staff just to report daily who does not have COVID.

As repeatedly explained in the forum, ANN has reported when cast or staff members potentially have to cancel events or assignments due to sickness before COVID-19. The nature of COVID-19 entails that patients, regardless of severity, miss 10 days of work and events. In Lynn's case, she had to leave an official anime event (with other cast members) right in the middle of the event.

Please don't exaggerate. The day that over 50% of the anime industry has COVID-19 would be national news.

I'm surprised more delays aren't happening aside from Uncle From Another World

Also, there's the possibility that, behind the scenes, assuming the person who infected them was a non-famous person, that person would likely be either reprimanded or in the worst scenario, fired from their job.

COVID cases are spiking because of Omicron? It sucks but I'm not sure how it's shocking and from what I heard the number of deaths in Japan from COVID is lower than it was in January

If that ever happened, it would be beyond unacceptable, the way covid has been framed as a moral struggle where 'bad' behaviour infects people has been so harmful.

if you don't want to see these articles, you can simply opt out of seeing them through the settings on the front page like so:

That said, this new variant seems much more transmissible than the previous ones. wishing them the best.

I'm concerned for anyone who went to the My Hero Academia event, because this makes 3 actors (Yamashita, Hatanaka, and Aoi Yuki, who was discussed in a previous article) who were at that event who have been diagnosed.

Events with lots of people, performers, staff, audience, etc. Also, seiyuu tend to record in groups so the infection easily gets around.
