I wonder if next Dragon Ball series will happen in this decade.

It’s apparently against another Idris Elba vehicle with middling reviews this weekend in the US.

It would admittedly be kind of crazy if Dragon Ball is what destroys Elba’s credibility as a leading man, but I imagine it would be seen as an anomaly given it’s well…Dragon Ball.

It's still beyond me how this is releasing so late in Europe. A lot of people here in France ended up looking at pirate cams of the movie when we started to get spoilers from official sources.

He’s a decent enough lead actor on TV not so much in the realm of movies.

You make it sound like this movie opened to $200 million when it did $20 million.

Broly, Demon Slayer and JJK: Zero all had 70% drops in their second weekend. If Superhero has similarly poor legs and it remains #1, any new release would be a total flop unless it was produced for pennies.

Primus: Didn't open to Hollywood blockbuster numbers, but it over performed. And maybe it's frontloaded, but it's still got a good bang for its budget. And unfortunately, Three Thousand Years of Longing ain't cheap. Sixty million, according to Wikipedia. So, even if it beats Super, it needs $120 million to break even.

From what I understand, no matter who wins, the box office this week will be downright anemic.

Digga: A win's still a win, especially during Labor Day weekend, when people who missed out can catch up in-between Spidey 2.0 viewings.
