It's a shame then that the cover for said collection prominently features a soldier with an arm band for the far-right paramilitary group Azov Battalion.

Seems very much in poor taste. Hopefully it doesn't show up in any of the stories as well. That's something that should have been noticed before release, though. A simple Google search could have told them that.

Azov was depoliticized around 2018, the far right were kicked out during its integration from resistance group into formal military unit. The far-right elements that were kicked out formed a political party and ran for government but only got 1.5% of the vote.

I wonder if the people who created the cover never realize it was a bad idea to feature the Azov battalion due to their far-right and Neo-Nazi ties. The group is even used as a Boogeyman by pro-russian groups as "proof" that Ukarine is under "Nazi" control and Putin was justified in invading Ukarine.

One Chinese artist that went into the conspiracy theory deep end, even believes in Russian propaganda lies that any massacres done by the Russians was in fact the work of Azov and ironically, calling anyone who doesn't agree with his "Ukrainians are Nazis" views as fools and is under the influence of Nazi propaganda.

Assuming the commentators in this thread are serious: War times like those in Ukraine are complicated. If you have a Hitler-like entity like Putin and his horde of orcs trying to genocide your country into non-existence, it’s not uncommon to hear far right extremists and criminals being deployed to fight because all the manpower is needed.

Basically Evil vs Oblivion.

This is downright laughable when you realize that Ukraine's president, Volodymyr Zalenskyy is Jewish. Some people just can't be bothered to do their research. Rolling Eyes

It has all the hallmarks of the old adage, "keeping your friends close and your enemies even closer" to me. Confused
