Wow, took them this long? Even though Shounen Ace isn't really a conventional shounen magazine, I still never understood why they were publishing something like MPD Psycho.

No wonder.

I was seriously confused when I came across some of the chapters from volume 11.

On one hand, it sucks since it would be as if all of the awesome events in the first 10 volumes had been for nothing. However, restarting the series means that spoiler[Shinji Nishizono might not have to die in a pathetic manner as he did in the first version.] I felt that it was a huge mistake on the part of the authors to let that come to pass so early.

Despite the word "shounen" in the title, Shounen Ace, as you said, isn't a conventional shounen magazine. In fact, it is more targeted at an older audience of anime otaku, and so there are a lot of tie-in manga based on anime that otaku like, as well as manga with otaku-friendly elements. It also has series that you wouldn't expect to see in a more mainstream shounen magazine, like MPD Psycho.

Asuka, from the same publisher, is the same way. Though it's technically shoujo, it isn't really a "normal" shoujo manga magazine and, like Shounen Ace, it has a lot of female-otaku-friendly titles and some stuff you wouldn't expect to see in most other shoujo magazines.

Awesome. I like the series, and want to know what happens. But it can get pretty confusing at times. Are they continuing from where they left off, or will they be restarting or summarizing or something?[/spoiler]
