With how poor Don Glees did in the us box office I'd be surprised if it was even a passing thought for any of the judges

Because nominations only go to real achievements in animated cinema, like Boss Baby and Despicable Me 2. |

I do think BELLE had a real shot last year given it's presence in the festival/awards circuit and general accessibility story-wise with audiences. If anything, I believe it just barely missed out on a nomination by one or two spots.
Unfortunately as much as I loved Inu-oh, I don't see it or any of the other films listed having nearly as close of a shot. |

Joel: Strange World and Light-year bombed, so the field is a bit more open this year. Also don't forget about Shark Tale.
Polly: Don Glees got a limited release, so it was *supposed to* 'underperform'. |

I would love it if more countries' animated films were recognized in the academy, even though the Academy is mainly centered around English speaking films and there are other countries' own Academy awards, I still always love to check out ones for Hollywood's one.
