Copy rarely sell as good as original, but even if that show get fraction of popularity of SxF that still will be very good number.

Looks like a cute and funs how!

I get the sense that the girls' parents want nothing to do with her and the blonde has history with his sister (or girlfriend) having a baby?

Jacki's going to be so disappointed that fade-cut daddy apparently doesn't look like that in his daily life. Very Happy

Aside from having spies and a childcare focus, this anime does not have as near as many similiarites with Spy x Family to be called a "copy".

Dunno, for me having spies and a childcare focus are big similarities. It's not literal sense copy but I don't be surprised if success SxF helped greenlight this project. SxF was very popular before anime.

For one, the guys in this show are hitmen (殺し屋/koroshiya), not spies. Two, going by the plot summary the story here is "childcare focus", at least not the same way as SxF. Three, hitmen/spies/soldiers/etc. taking care of unrelated children, or even forming a pretend family, is not something SxF came up with, perhaps the most famous example of it is the Luc Besson movie Léon, but even that is not the first instance of the trope. Even in anime/manga there's Moribito, Sword of the Stranger, hell, Dragon Ball with Piccolo & Gohan, to name a few.

Honestly, looking at the show, I don't think it needed SxF to be greenlighted. It's for a different main target demographic, it has a different tone/vibe (SxF is "pretend family turns into real one", this one seems to be "polar opposites learn to work together and trust in one another over a common goal" - which is by the way not a rare anime/manga trope), etc.

English is not my first language so I don't want write wall of text. It's clear to me that this series is inspired heavily by SxF, if someone have different opinion so be it.

I say if anything this show is closer to "Tiger & Bunny, but now they have a kid" than anything Spy x Family... It's in the character archetypes, the general vibe, hell, the title font and logo, and even the word "buddy" became sort of popular in anime/manga after the unexpected popularity of T&B.

(English is not my first language either, I just talk a lot even IRL.)
