Even with Bleach long time return and hype Japan still rates it lower than other series it’s like Japan love Bleach but hate it at the same time how can Chainsaw man have a higher rating than Bleach? It makes no sense.

Probably because the chainsaw man hype was insane. It is also a lot easier to check out a new series compared to one with over 300 episodes.

Probably because the chainsaw man hype was insane. It is also a lot easier to check out a new series compared to one with over 300 episodes. |
That’s true still felt like Bleach should have been rated atleast higher than that it deserved it.

That’s true still felt like Bleach should have been rated atleast higher than that it deserved it. |
This time period includes the ratings over NYE holiday, which is why Bleach is on here at all. If you look at last week's ratings, a rerun of the second season of "That Time I got Reincarnated as A Slime" got more than double the viewership of this week's Bleach episode.

Damn, crazy high numbers for a show like Bleach. Iruma beating Curious George is quite a surprise too (assuming that's a new ep for George)

I think Bleach had a much better showing than CSM this season as a fan of both and it makes total sense. They are incomparable as Chainsaw Man is a complete newcomer where anyone can jump in while Bleach is a 10 year return adapting a later story arc, which makes it difficult to jump into. It's still gotten plenty of hype throughout.

Or it could be because.... you know.... people can like Chainsaw Man more than Bleach? Is is that hard of a concept to grasp?

Literally nothing automatically deserves to be watched by a certain percentage of households.
If anything, Bleach's ratings here are very impressive considering that it doesn't appeal to anybody who wasn't watching it 10 years ago. I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of people who watched the newest cour did it just for novelty's sake and viewership of the next cour drops off considerably, but we'll see.

I wouldn't be so sure about viewership dropping off too much. They have talked about adding content that kubo was unable to do in the coming cours and I imagine people are gonna wanna see that. The coming cours also have some fairly popular fights as well including one of the most popular ones.

Reminder that late-night (after midnight) anime barely get any significant viewership at all unless it's extremely popular.
Chainsaw Man numbers are pretty great, and Bleach numbers are quite above average too.
Those anime are usually recorded to be watched the day after.
