From what I've read, the manga makes the OVA more cohesive and makes sense of some of the lesser developed or out-of-nowhere plot developments (like Nina and Gato).

Vol 16 has an original ending and Vol 17-18 tell a new sequel story. spoiler[Gato survives and goes on with his fight. The love triangle also ends with all of them single.] Watanabe is well known for hating the original ending but I don´t know if this one works either.

I was really surprised when the story actually got continued to the sequel part. I wonder how they'll resolve things from there.
The art has been really brilliant too. |

I wish it would get an official English release, especially if it was available digitally. One of those cases of "please, take my money."
I loved the anime in all its "Top Gundam" 80s-ness, and the character Cima Garahau's the best. I think it's my favorite after 0080. |
