Yaaayyyyyyyy!!! As a huge fan of the manga, there’s lots of scenes I’m looking forward to seeing animated! It’s one of the more interesting ongoing Jump titles imo.

Unfortunately, the manga is very unpopular with western Jump readers because it takes place in a lesser-known period of Japanese history (between Kamakura and Muromachi)

Also, when the anime announcement first leaked, there was more negative than positive reactions from western Jump readers. Majority of the complaints were about how this got an anime before Sakamoto and Dandadan. They ignore that Matsui’s a veteran mangaka and instead complain that the series is “irrelevant” and that the anime will be a “waste of resources”

I’m hoping the anime does increase the interest in the series amongst western readers but I’m not counting on it.

Both the director and character designer worked on My Dress-Up Darling as episode director/storyboarder and key animator respectively, so there is a very high likelyhood that Shota Umehara will be the animation producer once again.

On one hand, this is a big win since everything he works on has extremely high quality. On the other, very worried about his health. Wonder Egg Priority in 2021, Dress-Up Darling and Bocchi in 2022, and now this. And Dress-Up Darling has a second season confirmed, and Bocchi will very likely get one too. Man's never taking a break.

When a lot of manga authors usually cling to their one good work, Matsui somehow strikes with the third one and it still feels fresh, dang it.

Also, I really wonder who they get to voice our master of escaping while being a too-cute shota Tokiyuki.

My vote goes to Ayumu Murase or Mariya Ise.

Ayumu Murase would be a good choice?

Haven't read the manga but the cover art screams Yuuki Kaji but with the tone of Meliodas from Nanatsu no Taizai or Nishikata from Takagi-san

Yeah, Ayumu Murase probably feels like the top pick with his soft voice.

It would be interesting if they decided to make a new Neuro anime too.

If I remember correctly, the original series was one of the first anime that I watched at weekly basis, and when I started to become familiar with Takehito Koyasu.

Years later I also found out the the main girl was voiced by Kana Ueda.

They were fun together, and it was always entertaining to see Neuro bully Yako. Laughing

According to MAL, they did appear in Koro-sensei Quest!

UmeP is indeed the animation producer.

Though it's a real shame that Matsui's first work, Neuro: Supernatural Detective never got an official English release, I congratulate him on yet another series of his getting an anime! Omedeto gozaimasu!

Such a funny phrase, as you say that you will not watch the anime while meaning the exact opposite. Laughing
