This is awesome! I’ve been waiting three years for this anime to get a dub. Very Happy

Never thought I'd see an Eizouken dub.

I was hoping this would be the case, especially with how long the wait has been for this release. The original Japanese case was stellar though, so there's some big shoes to fill. Whatever the case, nice to have a solid release date.

And the bad news is that Sentai filmworks not dub When Ayumu makes his move and Tokyo mew mew new despite they tease it with survey poll on twitter and the majority of the poll was answer yes.

Brilliant. My Masaaki Yuasa collection has had a unwanted gap in it.

Yeah, especially TMM New, which I'd hope they would have mentioned a dub or something at this panel (to which it did not happen), considering the disappointment to which many have seen that Sentai is releasing a barebones Season 1 collection sub only, with barely any extras. So yeah, they made us do the poll for nothing, I guess.

Though I wouldn't be surprised if they eventually release a complete collection down the line and possibly include a dub, but that's more of a pipe dream if it'll ever happen.

a poll was unrealistic, and likely just more twitter shenanigans along side the thing with Akame ga kill and redo of healer

Thank you ANN for reporting this. Eizouken is a fantastic anime that deserves a BD release.

Only three years after it made the New York Times best TV shows list. You think that would have been the catalyst.

That's another problem I have with this release, this reboot also had a ONA series that premiered together with the show and those were included with the Japanese Blu-ray volumes so it really sucks that they're not here.

I'm glad the Eizouken anime didn't get a sub only release first before this release with an English dub. Some older Sentai releases have done that, though not sure if it's been a recent occurence. Now just want to see the live-action Eizouken film/TV series to get an English license for DVD/Blu-ray.

There will also be a limited edition premium box set.

To this very day there still hasn't been any news/updates on the Carole And Tuesday premium set--assuming that's still ever going to happen, this will likely be an even longer wait.

Still holding my breath for a Rakugo one, though that show is much heavier on the japanese embedded in the subject matter
