I’ll watch the dub just to see if it’s censored

Hulu actually had the first 45 episodes of Dai subbed on their site for a while. Not sure why they stopped there, but I guess it doesn't matter now that they have the entire series dubbed on there now.

So is there a reason why Toei has their shows on CR, but the dubs on Hulu?

Now that’s what I am talking about! Much better than them
Only using Microsoft and Vudu to air their shows!

Don't forget Hoopla where you can only watch a few episodes a month.

But seriously great news. Hoping Dai gets a little more attention now.

I totally forgot about that… I actually have the first half bought on Vudu along with World Trigger on Vudu… but yeah it’s just sad that the number of platforms is getting bigger instead of smaller… it’s a real streamer fatigue…. I at the end of the day wish HIDIVE would just bring everything to Crunchyroll because their platform is just not working well in terms of what you do on the website is not communicating well to the app.

For the first time ever the DBZ Kai dub is now streaming in the US. Years ago when I was in college and was just getting into anime, I really wanted to watch Kai, but it wasn't available anywhere, although the Adult Swim website did have some episodes and even if I had a cable subscription it was only a small number of episodes at the time. So I resigned myself to watch plain DBZ on Funimation (which never lets you watch with the Faulkner music even though they are on the blurays). My younger brother was a bit more persistent however and bought the first 4 Kai bluray sets for the non-Buu episodes, as that was basically the only way to watch them. I had Hulu at the time so it really is a shame Toei dragged their feet so long with Kai for whatever reason.

The more people exposed to the English dub of DBZ Kai, the better. It's a much, much more accurate and well-acted English dub than the "classic" DBZ dub. It actually does the characters justice, for the most part.

If you're talking about Digimon the dub is completely uncut - including the Gabumon crucifixion.

^Might be referring to Dai since the BBC UK streams has edits.

Should be uncut though like it is everywhere else.

Glad all these are finally streaming. I've been watching the Digimon Adventure 2020 English dub which has been quite impressive and I honestly enjoy the reboot better with the dub. I'll be glad to finally check out Dragon Quest Adventure of Dai and glad to see DBZ Kai finally streaming somewhere. But apparently some people are saying some of the episodes are the Nicktoons masters and not uncut for DBZ Kai. Someone at Hulu should fix that.

That’s probably most likely what Crunchyroll/Funimation or Toei sent them… it will have to be them to send it to Hulu to change it… but I think that would be like pulling teeth.

Agreed. The Digimon 2020 reboot is much more enjoyable watching it dub compared to sub. Hopefully it’ll be enough to save the show and retain its enjoyment for me (only watched the first 8 episodes dubbed so far)
