Oooo, I think I want some Andre in my bath. Embarassed

Kind of an amusing merchandise. Wonder if it has anything to do with the movie that supposed to come out next year... or whenever.

Ahh, I saw that stuff when I was in Tokyo last week. I thought it was amusing to see Rose of Versailles make up Anime hyper I didn't realize it was something new. Perhaps it is to promote the Rose of Versailles stage play starring Ohno and MatsuJun from Arashi? If I remember correctly, it is starting soon.

The sets come in four varieties to match the four main male characters of this historical romance set in aristocratic France: Fersen (thalasso water), Andre (rose-infused water), Gerodere (milky water), and Alain (hidrotic water).

Andre and Fersen are obvious choices due to their importance in the story. I'm not entirely sure about the other two though. Alain only played a major part in the end, right? I'll give him a free pass since he plays a role in the sequel, I guess.

But Gerodere? Really? I mean yeah I know he was in there throughout, back when Oscar whupped him in the duel and throughout, but we should consider other important male figures who could easily compete for a "main" status, right?

For example we have:
*The Dolphine and eventual King himself, who was totally awesome making locks and stuff
*The crown prince shota who was all macking on Ocar trying to make her his queen
*Duke Orleans
*Robespierre
*St. Juste
*Oscar's dad
*Bernard, c'mon he was totally important
*That moustache nobel bro who had lost his wife, Oscar's 2nd in command when she's leading the french guards B company

I dunno I can't help think that a guy like Gerodere got picked just because he was a hunky good guy that a housewife would want to bathe in the essence of, not necessarily because he was more of a "main" character. Many of the villainous or questionable or goofy characters get overlooked here, they are arguably just as "main" to the plot as gerodere, but lose out as they haven't tugged on housewives' heartstrings.

ARRRRRGH!

I thought this news was recent and that new merchandise was being brought to the market in lieu of Toei announcing further details of the "La Rose de Versailles" movie that was announced in, what, 2008?

Don't revive these dead threads and get my hopes up!

Crying or Very sad

Toei. Toooooeeeeeeiiiiii. Just another black mark against you.

Yes, try to avoid bumping discussions on old articles unless there is really truly some new development relevant to the thread that you wish to address.
