Well they halted producing new story content a while ago so I'm not surprised. I guess the Japanese version has a more active PvP base I guess.

I stopped logging in within the last year, but this game had a lot of great story content, so it's still sad to see it go. 5-6 years is a pretty good run though for these types of games.
Hopefully some more of it gets adapted into novels and some OVAs can be produced so more people can enjoy it Smile

Maybe I'll try to bum rush the content in English while I can...

Disappointing, as I've been playing the game almost since its English debut, but not unexpected; the PvP event participation has been decreasing for months now, especially in the last couple. The writing was on the wall when one of the last new events recently started to be available against despite debuting earlier this year; that had never happened before.

Oh, well. Nearly six years is still an excellent run as anime-linked mobile games go.

Damn, unfortunate though almost 6 years is pretty good for an anime-based gacha.

I felt like the new game was just a reskin of the old one with 3D rather than 2D battles (even used half the same icons) so kinda expected this to happen. Not played the new one much because it was just a simple reskin and because it runs terribly on my iPad always crashing and looks too small on my phone.

true, but with the inclusion of VPNs as well as other methods to play the JP version, it was only a matter of time before the global version went under!

because of this fact, its only a matter of time before the same thing happened to eminence in shadow as well as the fate grand order global versions!

the only game that wont face that is granblue fantaasy since both the jp and english language are in one version (though non jp players that dont have VPN can only access the game on sites like mobage since DMMGAMES have decided to region block their entire website from being used by free to play overseas players back in june )
