Weird choice to include the infamous Happy Science cult founder on here, the common saying of "Don't speak ill of the dead" doesn't feel like something that applies to him.

Rest In Peace to all but Ryuho Okawa. I don’t know about an afterlife, but if there is one for Okawa I’d rather imagine his as being akin to the Yomi no Kuni from Shinto mythology, just dark dead nothing.
I could’ve sworn Ryuichi Sakamoto died in 2022; this last year has felt both too long and too short at once (as all other years do). Remembering Nami Sano makes me sad, with how Migi and Dali ended with a sweet tribute to her, as does remembering Hisaya Nakajo; Hanazakari-no Kimitachi-e has a special shojo romance place in my heart. |

Rest in peace to all to them. It's sad that last year we lost one of the most influential manga artist, Leiji Matsumoto, and I'm still quite shock that Takahiro Kimura also passed away. I'd also like to mention some VAs from Spanish-speaking Latin America that passed away last year:
- Rubén Moya (b. 1960). He was well known for deep and powerful voice and for voicing characters like Prince Adam/He-Man in the original Masters of the Universe cartoon, dubbing actors such as Morgan Freeman and in anime dubbing he voiced Amidamaru in both versions of Shaman King, Porunga in Dragon Ball, Father in the 2021 re-dub of Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood, Director Ton in Aggretsuko (replacing the late Osvaldo Trejo) and Ginjirou Nezu in Summer Time Rendering. Some of his last works were reprising his roles as the Great Deku Tree in Tears of the Kingdom and as Sallah in Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny, though he passed away before the movie came out. - Luis Pérez Pons (b. 1951) One of the best known Venezuelan dubbers and with one of the longest career. His was best know for voicing Mr. Krabs in Spongebob, being the second most recurring voice in Spanish of Stan Lee, narrating tons of History Channel documentaries and for voice acting in many WB. and DC animated productions. In anime, his most well known roles were Shiva in Shurato, Mr. Dickenson/Kogorō Daitenji in the original Beyblade and many roles in The Slayers - Gabriel Ortiz (b. 1979). He began his career in the early 2000s where he became popular for vocing characters like Michelangelo in the 2003 version of Ninja Turtles (and reprised his role in the '07 movie) and Steve in American Dad and Odd Della Robbia in Code Lyoko. But in anime he stood out with characters such as Vash the Stampede, Kenichi from The Mightiest Disciple, Renji Abarai in Bleach, Kensuke Aida in Evangelion (the Animax and Netflix dubs), Buggy in the 4Kids dub of One Piece, Klein in Sword Art Online, Ryouhei Sasagawa in Reborn!, Denki Kaminari in the first two My Hero Academia movies, Yūichi Jin in World Trigger and Garou in One Punch Man (he was also the series' ADR director), he also directed the dub of Hunter × Hunter '11, which was finally released last year, despite being recorded in 2021. Leiji Matsumoto, Buichi Terasawa, Atsushi Sakurai, and David McCallum were the ones that hit me hardest. It's still surreal that I received Cobra comics in the mail the day they announced Terasawa.
