Now that would be a grand april fools prank. Get everyone`s hopes up for half a year and then pull the rug out. Terrible but also grand.

Beats me why we even need this, the anime we already have is close enough to the novels. Wolf & Parchment would be much more welcome to me.

Well because the original anime only covers like the first 4-5 LN's? And it completely skipped the 2nd one I believe.

I am happy we are getting a new adaption of Spice and Wolf. Hopefully it will cover all the LN's and continue it with the sequel LN's. I do hope the song this time around will be beautiful as well. Hopefully the original songs are included in this adaption.

OK, fair enough. If there is enough interest to do a fairly full adaption that will be awesome.
I didn't realize that LN2 was skipped in the anime, despite having read and watched, probably too much time has passed. If they do S&W as well as say Frieren or the new UY, we are probably in for a huge treat. I will take a more positive mindset to this reboot, as I believe you are advising. Thank you.

Gee thanks! What was rule #1 of the forums again... oh isn't it "Be Polite"?
Please, I was trying to spark a little conversation. And TheMorry gave me food for thought, instead of labeling me as a troll and showing disrespect.

Just a FYI: The original anime adaptation adapted LNs 1-3, 5, and 6. It skipped LN v04 completely.
In the original anime, after the pyrite market scheme in Kumersun, Lawrence and Holo head straight to Kerube, where they meet Tote Col. It skipped an entire arc (which was covered by LN v04).

spoiler[In the LNs, during the pyrite scheme in Kumersun, Diana also tells the pair of a priest in the church town, Tereo who secretly collects Pagan knowledge and knows a lot about where Holo came from. So after Kumersun, they head straight to Tereo, where they meet a young Deaconess named Elsa. After Holo reveals her nature as a Pagan goddess, Elsa gives them the information they need and points them towards Nyohhira and Yoitsu. But LN v04 also went pretty heavy into the "Catholic Church" vs. Paganism stuff. So that's probably why the original anime skipped it. More so than setting up a plot line it wouldn't adapt.]

Ah thanks for the information. Yes, that whole plotline was a bit of a surprise when I read the LN far too long ago now. Makes sense they would skip a lead in they wouldn't adapt.
Do you think it is a good thing they are rebooting it from scratch?
