Hmm.... those were really bad trailers, I like how Viz is so far behind in Bleach that nobody will be able to follow along unless they have been watching it on Adultswim (don't know how far they are) or have watched it subbed.

Personally, i hate dubbing when its live action, never seems to work, but its cool that they are bringing these out to actual theaters, even if it is select.

...wow, I thought this was something new. Well, for DN, that is. I think this trailer has been posting around the internet for about a month now...maybe less.

I'm being nitpicky, but they could've found a better movie trailer announcer.

Nonetheless, going to see both movies.

Bleach on Adult Swim just ended the Soul Society Arc, and I hear the movie takes place between the Soul Society and Bount Arcs, so the timing works.

I'm only watching Death Note subbed. It's not going to make more money, just because kids don't have to read it.

Well actually this movie did spoil something for people who didn't read the manga even when it was in Japan. But then again it's already been spoiled in the video games in the US and the manga has reached that point here too. I'll use spoiler tags just to be safe. spoiler[If I remember correctly Rukia uses Sode no Shirayuki in this movie and that doesn't happen until the Arrancar Arc].

By the way the video isn't loading for me at all. I just get a black loading screen and it never gets anywhere. Any way I might be able to fix the problem?

Adult Swim airs episode 64 of Bleach tomorrow.

As for the movie, I most likely wont see it simply because I wont be able to get a ride to go to the theater it is playing at by me. (It is further than the normal theater I go to, but not by much). I would like to see it, I saw the Fullmetal Alchemist movie there... but that was because I knew more people who were into that show.. I don't know many people who watch Bleach enough to go see the movie.

As for Death Note, it is basically the same situation, however dubbing live-action seems odd. I haven't heard of that since those old Godzilla movies..

Saw the Bleach trailer no less than three times before Narnia tonight despite neither Bleach nor DN being shown anywhere in my area. Crying or Very sad The only theater near me that shows anime only shows Miyazaki films and doesn't have the technology to do a Fathom release.

Years ago they would show Pokemon (and Digimon) movies nation wide in theaters. It's too bad nothing has come close to being popular enough to warrant a release like that again.

It's a win-lose situation because of the media. Considering those franchises likely aren't going to have as large a theater-going base then being limited to locations with digital projection provides a natural release constraint. Meanwhile, it simultaneously gives the best presentation quality possible.
