I'm equal parts terrified and titilated to see the end result.

it's amazing how it seems like it's normal to dress like that...

everyone else seems like they're just going about their usual business and not paying attention to what she's doing or who she is....

I'm feeling 60% the former and 40% the latter myself. No, make that 70/30. I can see the Daily Bugle headline now: Mary Jane Watson goes Loli-Goth!!

You know, my inner fanboy, in raging EVA-phile mode, once thought Miss Dunst would've been a sure choice to cast as Asuka Langley Soryu a decade ago when they first proposed that live-action movie adaptation. *shudder* Glad I outgrew _that._

My first thought at the mention of a sailor suit and blue wig was Sailor Mercury. Then I saw her actual cosplay.

Does her outfit have anything to do with...Anything? I'm a bit annoyed that all they see anime as, is neon hair and sailor suits. I mean is this going to please anybody?

*raises hand.

Time to shop it and turn it into desktop wallpaper.

It's Kirsten. In an anime-type outfit.

Fiction just can not compare to real life.

I seem to remember that Kirsten Dunst herself was also a Sailor Moon fan back in the day... Around the time she was in "Interview with the Vampire" there was an interview for a magazine with her in her room with her brother & she had Sailor Moon stuff on her walls & shelves - I think I may have come across that on the much-maligned (or beloved?!?)Save our Sailors site...

Because of this, the fandom wanted to have had her cast as Sailor Moon if a live-action film were ever made.

I actually think it's quite cute. At any rate, some real Japanese girls dress even sillier and more embarrassingly.

Cue McG and Kirsten Dunst saying they have plan to do the live-action Sailor Moon in 3...2...1.

Costume not working for me.. looks like she was passing between a fancy dress shop and a paint shop when they both exploded.

RE: pics. I'd hit it.

nagato: Who are you kidding? Asuka's gonna be Zooey Dachshund. =p

B: If they made an LA SM movie now, I'd imagine that the lead would be Ellen Page. Rolling Eyes

Just... what the hell is that? It's like Rainbow Bright got vomited on by the colors of the Care Bears. It's like sweet sweet sicky sweet lolita. Not even sure if there's any decent color coordination. Hell, a more toned down maid outfit or some anime space suit would have looked better.

Is this what McG thinks anime is about? Then again what more should I expect from the guy who did Terminator Salvation or his various other endeavors. Plus I used to like Dunst, but after some of her commentary on the Spider-man series, I just gave up following.

Heh. Look at me being all Tim Gunn. Eh. Still rather an interesting sight. Despite the crazy costume, Kiki does still look good somehow.
