Last year's reworking of MMPR was the one banking on nostalgia. This is just extra icing. Anime catgrin

To be honest, he was the only actor I could stand on the show. Laughing

Ah, Bulk was a pretty cool character. I just watched Episode for Power Ranger Samurai, I don't think I'll even bother anymore. They reworded the original theme song for this...

I've already seen Shinkenger and was hoping for a "good" adaption but this one seems to make a 'dark' series into a comedic one. I'm disappointed with this adaption, but it doesn't appeal as much to me as RPM did.

Its terrible I forgot that they did that. Which is even weirder because I just saw the red EVA ranger today and almost got it.

I knew that Ishinomori created Kamen Rider and Kikaider amongst others, but Super Sentai? It's not listed among his works in the encyclopedia.

Man, how many years (or maybe a decade plus) has it been since I've seen this guy? I wonder what he did after Power Rangers though. I mean there is the plenty of 90's stars, but you really seldom ever hear what happens to the minor cast members.

This is Shinken Pink. In the true version. The one for people who don't get sick when they hear about non american culture.

Here is what power Rangers fan have

Yeah, I know, bitter rant. But until Jetman, the true sentais were more or less broadcasted in my country but now, since we like to copy american mistakes, we have nothing but the Power Rangers.

Oh yeah. I grew out of Power Rangers shortly after the time period of the original movie (<3 Ivan Ooze), which I guess was right when that Zeo stuff started, but I loved the hell out of the original. Bulk and Skull were always good times. Smile

He Co-Created it, but only the first two, Secret Task Force Goranger, and JAKQ. Even then these weren't technically part of the Super Sentai franchise, (It Officially started with Battle Fever J) but got added to it later down the line

Well, I just treat PR like Robotech, a story that shares footage with another story, the premiere episode wasn't enough to judge for me if this is closer to the MMPR age or the In Space/Wild Force age. I didn't get any nostalgia vibe out of PR: RPM, Where was the nostalgia in there?

If I'm to understand the article correctly, the Power Rangers are still going?

I suppose this is my fault for not knowing, since I rarely turn on television anymore, but I'm really surprised this franchise hasn't burned itself out yet.

Not because it's bad, but I would have guessed kids would have moved onto something new and shiny. I'll just attribute this to a new generation of kids growing into the series shown at some time they can access (or perhaps the DVR is their friend).

I used to watch the original Power Rangers simply because it was campy. Amy Jo Johnson became a name many remembered.

The hot Pink Ranger (and remains so to his day).

Skull and Bulk. How these two never got to headline their own movie remains a mystery.
