The new Last Exile isn't a sequel. It's a new setting that uses elements from the old series with new characters.

I still find this doubtful for it airing this summer since there has yet to be a hint on any Japanese site stating that it would air this summer. In other words, it sounds like we'll get episode 1 and be left with that for a while. |
