Quoted for the truth. I was already hyped because it's my favorite sci-fi/fantasy blend anime/manga/novel, but this tiny little teaser just skyrocketed my hype. Too bad it's still 6 (well closer to 7 still) months away....

I am so excited for this.

It's an original story. Given that Kuroko is injured and in a wheelchair, it will be after volume 8 but before volumes 12/13. Think she no longer has her wheelchair at that point anyways.

That far off? Will people understand the movie content without reading them?

I think this is the first anime to feature a dubstep soundtrack

Anyway, I'm super pumped for this movie, I always thought Index could bring something interesting because of its immense world building.

So, it seems Touma may be fighting Touhous in the movie? I approve.

The movie looks beautiful and I will really look forward to seeing it. Hopefully this is something Funimation can license. However I cringe at the thought of them being allowed to release dvd only. *thinks of the preorder of the tv series*

Season 2 stopped after SS1 which takes place between volumes 13 and 14.

@Micro_Ice

It stops after the first SS volume, which is the equivalent of volume 13.5, leaving 14 and on un-animated. If you're planning to read the novels I suggest reading some of the first ones as there are things the anime ignored and completely changed more specifically volumes 2 and 4. In the 3rd volume there is also a bit cut out (for obvious reasons) where Accelerator first appears, in that part he is chewing on a clone's finger 'to see how it tastes'.

@anigu

Since the second season covers up to 13.5, it has passed the part where this occurred in the timeline. So people who have not read the books will be fine.

On another note I am excited for this movie, like jumping out of my seat excited.

So no Blu-ray release for Index? That is a crying shame since I've made the switch to Blu-ray and don't want to buy something in a lower quality format.
