SAD SAD SAD, the lack of posts therefore interest indicates noone remembers (or even knows) her fantastic, wonderful manga/anime: Full moon wo sagashite or kamikaze kaitou Jeanne.

No, I quite like both of those, but I hope she's learned to draw more than three faces by now.

Full moon was good, but I think I would have preferred it be a shounen ai. Loved the anime, too.

I really enjoyed Tanemura's Full Moon and The Gentlemen's Alliance, but I couldn't for the life of me get into Sakura-Hime. I hope I'll be able to enjoy her new manga (even though I still think she needs to vary her character designs a bit more).

I'm also interested in seeing more Yoko Kamio manga released in the U.S., though I guess that's a pipe dream since I don't think Boys Over Flowers sold well for Viz.

I love Tanemura and Full Moon o Sagashite is one of my favorite magical girl manga ever! For a while there I was reading everything she put out (Mistress Fortune was great!) but I had a hard time feeling Sakura-Hime and ever since then I feel like I've been sooo behind on what Tanemura's up to! Did anything come of that other Margaret manga she was supposed to be doing in July?

I'm looking forward to this one, anyway; Tanemura's art (samey as it may be, as noted by others here) is so dainty and cute, plus she has a knack for stories that are melodramatic but not too cheesy. The new venue is also really promising! Can't wait to read it!

oh my god yes!
i love arina tanemura, all her stories are amazing, (but i didn't like the gentlemens alliance all that much, i prefer her older works, KKJ and fullmoon <3)

but her art is just amazing, they look so cute already, even though its a little snippet, but the girl looks a little too skinny, which is what alot of her heroines are like :[
i couldnt care less about her faces being the same, they are cute and its her style, and i love it :3 i cant wait for the new series, im so excited! :D
-i actually started to join ANN just because of this XD-

As an aside, while I love Arina's work, I'm finding myself slogging through Gentleman's Alliance and wondering where the heck this story is going. I'm only on volume 2! Please tell me it gets better as it goes?

I'm glad she's still working, as I do love her work. Full moon <3. Smile

I felt like the pacing of the Alliance was really weird in the first two volumes, but once the story starts focusing less on humor and more on drama, it starts getting good! Towards the end of the series the drama can get to be a little much for some (like every chapter has a lengthy inner monologue sequence featuring a two-page spread of someone posing while weeping) but it's nothing if not exciting and entertaining!! It does definitely get better, though it's never as good as Full Moon or the better arcs from Jeanne.

in my opinion, it isnt as good as her other works, like Myaow said, there was a wide cast and the heroine, Haine, isnt my favourite, i thought her to be too much of... a mary-sue? kinda, though there are some parts of it which are really good, such as the history of takanari and shizumasa, and kazuhito and maika :) The ending of the GAC wasnt my cup of tea though, i really disliked it, but your opinion might be completely different, so i suggest you continue :) x

yay~ Hopefully Viz will snatch this right up! They do love their Arinacchi, which works for me seeing as I do as well. :3 Plus, it's a Margaret series, which I have recently realized I tend to love.

You're not missing anything. :/ It pretty much sucks. I love Arina but ugh....that one is the 'black sheep' of her works....
