Agreed. After the first two volumes or so, you could shuffle all the other chapters and it still wouldn't affect the "flow" of the story.

Gotta say... As big a fan I am of the Rumic World universe, even I will admit that Rin-Ne is getting almost painful to read. For nearly 100 available legally in English, there's few stories in it where I can say "Wow, now this is something that could only have been written by Rumiko Takahashi!" or "This really has me hooked!" You get tired of the generic ghost of the week plot really fast when the cases aren't that interesting or the characters aren't compelling enough.

And something tells me it's not going to get much better.
