In a way, Bright Noa is already the protagonist of the UC Gundam series, he's in all the major TV series except Victory while the Gundam heroes themselves kept switching.

Aw well, he's still an awesome character. But still, I wish there'd be more UC-related ANIME projects rather than more manga, as well as other timelines getting expanded like SEED, AGE, and Turn A.

Is it too early to beg Vertical to pick this up? After Char, Bright is my favorite Gundam character.

I hope there are lots of slaps and burgers! I can't wait!!

I too would love to see other timelines expanded upon. However, I think the reason behind it not all comes back to the fact that the UC is so popular.

I'd much rather we get more LATE UC stuff than the already-crowded One Year, Gryps Conflict, Neo Zeon Wars spots. Like, say, Crossbone. Very Happy

Actually, just give me an Ecole Du Ciel anime and I'll be contempt with UC as a whole.

I'll agree with expanding other time lines though. They have so many and yet they never actually bother expanding on them. I can understand why though.

So they already have a unicorn, they're going to add a rainbow, too?

Also, it's too bad Yas isn't working on this.

…Or to expand the translation a little bit more: "Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn: The Man Who Could Not Ride the Rainbow"… Laughing

As much as I like OYW-related stories (Gryps & CCA-types included) and as interesting as a Bright Noa tale could be (especially if it entails what occured in Hathaway's Flash--I mean, how could you not?), I am beginning to get tired of the recent revisits to that era, from Unicorn and the soon-to-be-animated Origin to the rehashes from the AU series over the past decade. I, too, would certainly like to see a Crossbone adaptation--or a F91 series, as was originally planned--as well as content beyond Victory. There is a lot to still mine from U.C., but I don't want to see all of it extracted from the same period in time. There is only so much left you can milk.

I think the entire thing is going to be about Bright Noa going around and slapping people, mobile suits, ships, etc. into submission. That's at least what I'm hoping it will be about.

So does this mean for once Bright won't be the most incompetent character in the story?

It's about time Cpt. Bright got something for himself.

I'd be happy to just get the rest of the manga in englisg, tbh. I was actually enjoying reading that one. The artist's name alone is a good enough reason to pick it up.

That would make one hell of a gag manga.

I thought that at first too, but then picked up newtype Ace on the weekend and was presently surprised by the artwork.

Is Newtype Ace actually translated into english? I won't mind reading that issue. I thought they ceased publications...least in the US anyways.

The idea is that if the formula isnt broke dont fix it, the problem is that this leads to the fact that in the UC universe the same event just keeps on happening over and over again.
