Great. Now can we please get a Mature Content App?

Its absurd the amount of material you can buy digitally through their website, but can't read in the app. Apparently its Apple's doing? Perhaps someone should point out all the mature content ComiXology has no restrictions on releasing to Apple users. Double standard at its finest.

Unlike Android, where Comixology is rated simply as "medium maturity", the Comixology iOS app is restricted to 17+. For Apple, if there's any sexual content or nudity available through the app, even if it's not supplied by the app, then there's a strict 17+ age limit. That's still no guarantee though, as 30% of Kodansha's manga titles (non-app ebooks) being rejected shows how fickle Apple can be. Ironically, Viz is slightly worse since they put a hard 18+ limit on NANA, DMC, etc and won't even let you browse Mature titles at all.

So I don't think Viz will change anytime soon, since they don't have enough M-rated or uncensored titles to justify that move, and I don't think they are eager to get more since by their own policies, they would have to restrict their own customer base

Didn't the episode of ANNcast that had the people from Viz say to stay tuned for when their mature titles become available?

My guess is that they will use a separate app built from the same code so they can still keep the current iOS app rating as 12+, rather than end up restricted like the Chrome or Opera browser apps.. or they will have a mobile/tablet web app through their site
