In a related development, award-winning science-fiction and anime illustrator Naoyuki Kato is once again streaming his painting process live. This time, he is drawing a 5.1-meter-long (about 17-foot-long) painting of the space battleship Yamato on Ustream and Niconico on March 30 and 31.


Been keeping an eye on the stream throughout the day. It's interesting watching the painting progress over time. Since it went from 11:00 to 18:00 JST today, I wonder if the stream tomorrow will be a repeat or a continuation. There are still some things he needs to finish off, but for the most part, it could stand as it is.
