I have low expectations for this arc after the very good Nekomonogatari ones.

The fact we will no longer have a focus on Tsubasa is a good thing. She's by far the worst character in the series and every episode of hers is so damn boring.

I loved first Bakemonogatari season and Nisemonogatari, because it was something new and refreshing...
...but now, I couldn't care less if I tried about monogatari series.

Ok, maybe Kizumonogatari would be cool to see.

I'm always up for more Hachikuji. Her + Koyomi = hilarious.

Extremely ready for anything that isn't Tsubasa related. And I've always dug Snail Girl.

Is Tsubasa really so disliked? I guess she is a bit more bland than the other characters, but I never hated her or anything.

Regardless, I thought Nekomonogatari (White) was by far the best Tsubasa focused arc we've gotten. It was overall the most enjoyable the series has been for me since Bakemonogatari.

na, just ANN fans. She is a very popular character.

Kabukimonogatari is not really about Hachikuji anyway compare to Nekomonogatari arc. She may has spoiler[less screen time than Tsukihi in Tsukihi phoenix.]

I’m a huge Monogatari fan, but I personally consider the Neko White arc to be the lowest point of the series so far. It still was enjoyable, but I did find myself bored for the first time.

For example, the newest Monogatari episodes air at 2 o’clock in the morning in Hokkaido, and for the first episode ten people, myself and nine Japanese guys, gathered in a common room to watch it. However, by episode 5 the crowd had dwindled down to just me and one other guy. I even found myself struggling to stay awake during a lot of the episodes. I guess my main complaint was that Tsubasa gave us too much information about herself. It’s nice to understand the motivations of characters, but there is also a point when you can make a character uninteresting because you have expounded too much of their inner thoughts in an easily decipherable manner. Also, I thought the dialogue in Neko White really lacked the witticism and cleverness of previous Monogatari stories. That being said, I am glad that someone really enjoyed it.

I agree with Mad_Scientist. For me, Bakemonogatari was great for its moments (and I'm a huge fan of NISIOISIN, so it would be a bad thing for me not to check it out), but I actually wasn't a fan of more than just those moments. The over-arching "story" and the pacing was... meh. To me, at least. Nisemonogatari was NISIO's dive into fanservice while he did his usual developments, so that kinda turned me off (when it wasn't funny). But then Nekomonogatari (Kuro) came along and I LOVED the development we got for it, as well as the full roundness of the story itself. Then Nekomonogatari (Shiro) came up and, for the first time ever, I started to really like Hanekawa as a character. And actually, kinda Senjougahara, too. >.>
Shiro was slower than Kuro, but its climax and ending had more impact on me, personally. I think I can connect to her better, so... it's been the highlight of the story so far. Oh, and it was nice to have someone other than Araragi narrate an arc.

But the Overarching story isn't generally the point of the Monogatari series, in as much as individual character stories are. Why would you go into Nisemono thinking that it would be more like that when it wasn't like that in Bakemono? And really whilst Nisemono is more fanservicy, that's because Nisio wrote it for his own enjoyment, not to sell. Still I can see whilst you might dislike it, (more than Bakemono) but as a whole the series will always be character focused not plot focused. Well to an extent.

The Nekomonogatari arcs were good, still character focused as ever but they did give us a nice look at how Hanekawa thinks and the nature of Abberations. I actually don't care massively for Hanekawa, she's quite nice but I always found other character more interesting. Nekomono however did give a deeper and more likeable character imo.

But having read the books, I can tell you there are some damn fine arcs coming up xD I was irritated as all hell when I learnt that they were doing a recap episode this week, I hate them in all their forms.
