Doraemon and Shin-chan returning with a bang (especially Shin-chan). Oh and the limit for the 10 at almost 5%, that's pretty good.

That 5.3 is a pretty far cry from the 9.3 rating that first two episodes of the Best Wishes saga got.

A bit disappointing considering the XY episodes were great.

These rankings are rather pointless to post IMHO, unless they can actually get rankings for like the Top20 or 25. Since nobody on ANN really cares about things like ratings for Maruko-chan and Sazae-san that are always going to be at the top.

People are more interested in new shows from this season or that started last cour, etc.

Neither TV stations nor Production Studios are interested in the ratings of late night anime.

You want the DVD/Blu-ray sales then for how the late night anime shows do

http://www.mania.com/aodvb/showthread.php?t=111958

Lots of information here including sales for all anime since 2005

Here is current 2013 list for example.

2013 Total Average Sales, TV/ONA
Note: This list is incomplete. Some 2013 series will not complete until late 2014 and chart into 2015 (yearly rankings). I will generally update this list once a week after the full weekly data comes out.

TV ratings for late night tv anime rarely matter, and maybe they do not have access to the TV ratings outside the top 10.

For the most part that statement is true, however ratings for some late night anime cant be ignored. For example Gatchaman Crowds was successful enough to get a second season solely due TV ratings.

What always gets me is how many of these top ranking shows Ikue Ohtani is in:

1) One Piece (Tony Tony Chopper)
2) Pokemon (Pikachu)
3) Meitantei Conan (Mitsuhiko Tsuburaya)
4) Naruto (Konohamaru)

and she was in Smile Precure! as well recently (Candy), another top 10 show.
