IF its as good as the devil may cry series then i am up for it. not to mention the manga version too.

Unfortunately it would have been better for the franchise if Platinum Games and Sega didn't act like cheap bitches and made the second game a Wii U exclusive, but instead release it for all three next gen consoles.

Sega doesn't have anything to do with the second game. Nintendo is publishing it. They don't exactly have a vested interest in publishing t for competing game systems.

Actually from what i am seeing , they haven't given up the publishing rights to nintendo. its still in their brand name. so i could get it if the big N bought the rights to the franchise , but that isnt the case which is why a lot of fans are screaming bloody murder on their youtube page for making it a Wii U exclusive instead of releasing it on all platforms.

There are some people out there that think the game will eventually come to the other consoles despite the whole Nintendo involvement with it. The idea people have is that something like what happened with the original Ninja Gaiden will happen in which they rename the game slightly(Ninja Gaiden became Ninja Gaiden Sigma) and add a bit of new content and at that point it's technically a new game and might allow them to release it elsewhere.

That said I don't know. All I know is that the chances of the franchise being killed if it's released only on Wii U is damn near 100% so it will be a shame if it never comes to other platforms.

I was under the impression that Nintendo SAVED Bayonetta from never seeing the light of day again by licensing it when no one else would. If you ask me it's better to have Bayonetta as a Wii U exclusive than NO Bayonetta at all.

Exactly this. Anyone who thinks Nintendo is the bad guy in this is definitely wrong. Not to mention we got The Wonderful 101 out of the arrangement as well, and who could hate that?

Based on reviews, and the lack of sales a lot of people.

So...are we talking about games or anime? Never played the original Beyonetta, but the sequel does interest me. As for this anime and manga, I have a feeling they wouldn't see the light of day if the franchise didn't get a sequel. They look nice, not interesting though. Again, don't harp on me, I haven't played the original game yet.

Nintendo actually helped fund the game for it to be their big 'core' exclusive title on the wii u, there is virtually no chance of it being released on any other console. Which seems silly because most wii u owners were presumably wii owners who never got to play the original and thus have no reason to buy the sequel. Maybe the anime/manga is supposed to bridge that gap for people..I'm rather hoping they port the first game to the wii u before releasing the second but I'm not holding my breath =/

Pretty much any Wii owner that would be interested in Bayonetta would also own a PS3 or XBOX 360 so I don't think thats an issue. I think the point of Nintendo rescuing this franchise is to get the people that refuse to buy a Nintendo system more interested in them. Judging from most of the comments I've read though, it looks like their just pist-off. Laughing
