I don't trust drugs at all, not even pot (I've met people who have been on it, including family, so trust me...wasn't impressed by what pot did to them), which has become the "cool" and "OK" drug (well, not that it never was, before...), so I have no issue with Japan's un-progressive stance on the matter compared to America's (or even more, heh, Europe's).

Then again, I'm not opposed to marijuana for terminally ill patients, because...well, they're terminally ill, what the Hell do they have to lose?

i want a translation of this so i can see how it compares with our domestic anti-drug propaganda.

it seems pretty brazen of that dude to just straight up open a weed shop on the high street though.

heh... high street.

When I saw the first page of this government propaganda, I then thought to myself "The ending of this manga is either going to be hilarious, or ****ing hilarious."

Maybe they should worry about the herb called tobacco first.

But what I'd like to see is some mangaka actually be daring and take a contrarian approach, like an anti-WOD manga, or a real look at drugs, as opposed to just government propaganda (or go further and break the taboo of showing teens drinking, which is legal in many other countries)

The brand name on the ficticous herbs is "ICE".
Isn't that another name for crystal meth?
