Hope the anime will be good as it's 2 cour so potential for a lot of development in its story and characters. I just love that premise though.

The art in the manga really put me off but I must say if this is what the art is going to look like in the anime, count me in!

This sounds like it could be really good. The music should be good, at least. I'd love to see the manga, though. But it's not the type of story that sells here, is it?

Yeah, it's not the type of story that sells discs unfortunately. 
But hopefully it gets a good manga boost like Noragami. They're both serialized in the same magazine I think. P.S I'm a bit sad that this manga gets two cours while Noragami got only one. I'm not trying to diss the manga, just wish Noragami was also two cour.

Yeah, but even if the manga sells well in Japan and even if enough people in North America watch the stream to warrant a disc release here, the chances of Kodansha USA licensing the manga are virtually nonexistent (unless the kids' instruments turn into giant weapons that they use to beat up alien invaders and the summary just failed to mention it. )
We can beg and cry, but emotive shonen romantic dramas just don't sell in the USA (if they did, I'd already have some English volumes of Silver Spoon to prove it!) |
