Maybe but considering the movie still hasn't been picked up yet and the TV Series' S.A.V.E. status might be reasons to be unsure.

What's interesting is that at some cons FUNi reps said "Strike Witches sold AMAZING for us".

Either they're lying (which is nothing new and sometimes they overhype anything they're involved with) or it actually did sell well when first released but then had slow sales since. Whoever is interested already bought it when first released. Not like there's a new generation of fans with tons of lolicons among them (lolicons are a niche group to begin with; at least among English countries where there's a looked down upon attitude and stricter laws regarding such content).

So Silver Link is animating this? Thats really strange. When i hear their name it usually means a school comedy anime or shin onuma's shafty but not as crazily bizarre as shaft works. Though the fact that the staff is reuniting means probably no difference in terms of looks. Hopefully animations good too.

And please Funimation, pick this and the movie up. I want the war on pants to continue. Or Kadokawa, please release this with subtitles. Its nice that your complete series sets came with them, but its the movie (and this ova) that i also really want. Anyway, can't wait. More strike witches is always a good thing.

They're got excellent in terms of animated action series like "Prisma Illya" and "Strike the Blood" in the last year, so it looks like a good thing.

Well we won't know until Funimation announce it, we'll just have to wait and see.

seriously, why is Saeko Chiba not voicing Mio anymore?she didn't come back for season 2 because she was pregnant, fair reason, but she didn't come back for the movie and now for this OVA either.I miss her laugh...

She doesn't seem to be doing much voice work on anything at the moment. Taking care of her child perhaps?

Haven't seen Prisma yet, but I've seen clips of Strike da Blood and the animation is pretty nice. Gonzo and AIC did impressive work on the series and movie, so hopefully this follows suit.

indeed she is not that much active these days to get new roles, but she still reprises her old ones when she is needed. She came back to voice Nina in that Alice in Wonderland parody of Code Geass and came back for her character in the recent Minami-Ke season

This is just pure speculation, but suppose FUNi was made aware that a new OVA was being made that took place before the movie before they could license it. Would make sense for them to hold off on dubbing it; this way, they can bring back their voice actresses to dub the movie and OVA at the same time.

Huh, so Silver Link is animating it this time around? I'm fine with that; their stuff usually looks good.

Now if only Funi will get around to license the movie...

While the animation studio is Silver Link, the actual staff is effectively identical to the first two seasons, and thats much, much more important.
