I hope the animation quality remains top notch.

That Tweet doesn't say anything about a break after episode 18. What are you talking about?

Should be specified that the break will last all of Fall, then it will return during the New Year.

http://www.crunchyroll.com/anime-news/2014/07/31-1/break-planned-in-jojos-bizarre-adventure-stardust-crusaders-anime

More bad news, part 4 has not been greenlit.

DAMN IT. I DON'T WANT A BREAK. Oh well. I have a little catching-up to do anyway.

I'm gonna miss Jojo for the Fall season! Argh.

I wouldn't be surprised, though, is Part 4 is basically already greenlit. Perhaps they don't want people to become complacent or loosen their purchasing habits. If viewers know another season is one its way, some might not feel the obligation to immediately buy. And, well, it becomes even more important when you have Part 3 lasting more than the usual one or two cours. Quite a bit of investment right there.

Imagine, though. Stories from beyond Part 3...animated!

Indeed. The break will most likely happen after episode 24.

There was a follow-up Tweet which confirmed the break, and lists out some events happening during the break as well.

EDIT: The break was recently confirmed for the fall season. I apologize for the mistake.

I figured it was going to 52 with the pacing they are going. We are in for the long haul. I hope they continue after 3.

Going on a break about 1/3 of the way into the summer season doesn't make much sense. Going on a break at for the fall at the end of the summer season would.

As such, I'm viewing the "...the series will take a break after episode 18, which airs on Friday" portion of the article as suspect until proven.

Didn't they say in their original announcement of it being a year long, that there WOULDN'T be any breaks? Because if so, they are definitely going back on their word...I wanted the series to run the whole year, so I could have the experience of watching an anime weekly for over a year.

But I have to agree, it seems weird to stop halfway through a season...

JOJO WOnt be there for a while, Hunter x Hunter is ending. Gintama isnt officially returning yet. Bleach still cancelled. Naruto sucks. One Piece doesnt suck anymore but Toei animation ruins it completely

Laughing Thats actually Joseph Joestar, not Jojo, but we know what you mean.

It's not that I'm looking forward to this break, but if this is what they need to do to keep the same level of awesomeness, then so be it.

It still pisses me off that a month after CR streamed those three dubbed eppies, there is still absolutely no announcement about a domestic release of the Jojo franchise. That just blows.

I'm fine with breaks as long as:
  • It doesn't last more than one season
  • All of the material gets adapted in the end
  • Quality doesn't drop after breaks
Hopefully the new anime adaptions are proving successful enough, and continue to do so, to warrant adaptions of the other parts of the series at comparable quality.

That does suck. I'm hoping that Viz gets the rights to it (along with the rest of the manga) and tries pushing it big. I doubt they could push it as big as they have Bleach and Naruto, but with enough eyes on it, I'm sure JJBA could keep a lot of people.

*In Jospeh Joestar's voice* OH GOD

Whatever. I can wait patiently and it will awkward if they stopped at episode 18.

Um, Joseph Joestar IS Jojo...as is all of the protagonists except GioGio. But yes, everyone should know he means Joseph in particular.

Yeah, I too have been wondering just what the Hell happened to that dub. Hopefully we know something soon...
