Karen is a good replacement for Alice, voice-wise, but it's strange to see her actually inherit Alice's blue and for the group to not change their name. And the new single above is really, really pretty. I definitely am considering a purchase when I get to Japan in January.

Damn, the name change didn't come to mind at all until I read that. 
It totally makes sense though.
I listened to Clear Sky; is it just me or is Alice's voice lower than Clara's? Or is it the other way around? |

I listened to their single "Clear Sky" and it was nice, but it just doesn't give me the same happy enriched feeling I get from listening to original ClariS. Tis sad that Alice had to leave, but her reasons were understandable and I hope that she, Clara and Karen all do well.

Second that, brother. ClariS without Alice is not ClariS. Although I don't have any real complaint for Karen. Her voice is good too, but her voice and vocal range are quite similar to Clara so I prefer Clara & Alice, sounds more balanced to me. Also, Karen is symbolized with star and the color green. If I have to call this group "ClariS", I'm gonna call it nocturnal ClariS. |

I have long cynically assumed that this whole "high schoolers remaining incognito" business was a cover story for ClariS just being anonymous session singers. I would not mind at all if the upcoming live performance proved me wrong on this point.

I agree to both of you. The magic is missing.  And they should change their name to ClareN. Maybe I can accept them immediately if they do that. Anyway, the music is still good.

That's because it's not Alice, If you've actually read the article or previous posts here carefully, it was stated the new singer is Karen. |
