No ADV dub? The nerve with tossing out what was already excellent to make a below average try on the dub, unless ADV lost the tracks. Well, guess I'll start looking for the original discs then.

Would be nice if both English dubs could be included for 5 Centimeters per Second. I prefered the ADV dub myself. I already own ADV's DVD release of this so I won't be getting Discotek's DVD. Release it on Blu-ray, preferably with both English dubs, and I will be glad to buy this again.

Really glad they licensed the Lupin vs Conan tv special. Since that tv special needs to be watched before moving onto the movie. Due to it referring many things from that tv special in the movie.

Wonder how the quality of the Giant Gorg masters will be. Because it makes me curious if it's the same masters that Bandai passed on.

The 5 centimeters per second release will have an English dub.

There's two different dubs(as there were two different releases). The one Crunchyroll released with help from Bandai has a Bang Zoom! dub in 2011. This one Discotek is releasing is missing the dub that ADV did when they originally released it in 2008.

Good luck on that, the ADV version is getting very pricy and hard to find online. Last I check it was around the 50 dollar mark but I've recently seen them going close to 100. I was thinking about getting the Blu-ray of this series but I still have the ADV DVD of it (I got lucky finding it at a Suncoast store closing)

Library Wars and 5cm/s on DVDs. Ugh. I'll wait for the blu-rays. I hope I won't be waiting forever though.

I never thought I would see Library Wars coming to the US; its one of the most least talked about Noitamina shows. I still own my Bandai version of 5 centimeters so I have no plan on getting that. Sonic X however will depend if it comes with the Japanese dub.

aired it on the Saturday morning cartoon block FoxBox.

Yeah, from 2002-05 and then it was just 4Kids TV.

Ah didn't know that. I would've just jumped straight into the film since most TV specials tying into films I know of are filler within filler so to speak.

Had my eye on the film so glad Discotek licenced it. Got plenty of time to catch up before it's release which is good as I'm 700 chapters behind.

Wonder what they'll do for the name since I believe they can't use Conan for whatever ridiculous reason.

Very excited about both Lupin VS Conan special and movie, I especially LOVE the movie. Even if it's DVD only, I'll still get it.

Giant Gorg also looks really fun, might have to check that out.

The Lupin III and Detective Conan franchises are two things I really did not need or want to see cross over. They had to water Lupin III down dramatically to fit him into the same universe as Conan, and frankly, the way Lupin has been in the TV specials in the past few years, it actually takes the edge away from Conan more than anything.

Thankfully The Woman Called Fujiko Mine and Daisuke Jigen's Gravestone have come along to restore Lupin to his harder edged source, because Lupin's become soft, toothless, and too family-friendly.

I wish that Discotek would have instead tried to license a TV special from when Lupin was still shooting people in the face, like Alcatraz Connection.

But hey, maybe this will be a bridge into seeing more Detective Conan license rescues. The problem is that honestly, as the episodes go on, it would get impossible to dub them into English with all the various Japanese language word puzzles. But I imagine that at this point it would be sub-only.

Sonic X was a part of my childhood that I'd rather forget. But hey, I guess this might please Sonic fans if any of them even exist after Sonic Boom.

Why was it that they redubbed 5cm Per Second anyway? Did they not get the rights to use the ADV one?
