What is the point of this? And will this version is going to be for Japan only? There is a market for JRPGs on steam, give us games, like FF Type-0 or X HD remaster. Though it could be interesting as a multiplayer game with turn based combat, but then there should be some kind of microtransactions system as it is f2p . And why only for Win10? I can't see a reason for that either.

Because they consider it a big jump so they're skipping 9, since Win10 is not just a desktop OS anymore but across their platforms laptops, tablets, smartphones, XB1, etc. And so, this Final Fantasy Agito will be the same app scaled across all those platforms too. (So now both OSX and Win10 are at X=10.  )
And like the OSX, Win10 will be the last "major" Windows upgrade as we knew it - new smaller Windows updates will come out about every year now, instead of a major upgrade every 3-4 years. Basically they're both following the mobile way of doing things. |

Coding problems with legacy stuff. They'd see a "9" and think it was Windows 95 or Windows 98 so might as well go straight to 10 and not have to deal with that headache. |
