When has anything ever produced based on a Rumiko Takanashi series EVER been restricted to under a 150 episodes. I would half expect this series is partially popular to last much longer than 25 episodes.

Maison Ikkoku- 96 episodes.
Mermaid's Forest- 13 episodes
Rumiko Takahashi Anthology- 13 episodes

Kyoukai no Rinne isn't even half as popular as Rumiko's other long running series, so while a second season isn't entirely out of the question and I imagine Brain's Base VERY MUCH wants it to be able to happen, it's not even close to a definite.
